Albert M. Chan

Albert M. Chan

Writer/Director/Producer

A native of Canada now based in Boston, Albert M. Chan is a versatile film and television actor of Chinese descent who has broadened his interests to filmmaking.

Albert’s initial foray into storytelling was as an actor, and after several years of persistent and conscientious effort, his first big acting break came in 2006 when he landed a role in Disney’s live-action film version of the classic 1960’s cartoon Underdog (James Belushi, Amy Adams, Jason Lee). Since then, he has been cast in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Michael Douglas) and Every Day (Helen Hunt, Liev Schreiber, Brian Dennehy, Eddie Izzard). On TV, Albert has had roles on NBC’s Law & Order SVU, ABC's Body of Proof, Showtime’s Brotherhood, and CW Network’s I’m Paige Wilson.

Not satisfied with storytelling only as an actor, Albert broadened his interests to filmmaking in 2007. Albert wrote, directed, and produced his first film, Fate Scores, which was recognized by the prestigious National Film Board of Canada. Fate Scores enjoyed a successful film festival run and was recently picked up by Moving Images Distribution (formerly Canadian Filmmakers Distribution West).

Descendants of the Past, Ancestors of the Future will be Albert’s second project as a filmmaker.
